S4E Group is a unique and dynamic private energy trading and investment group acting in the international energy markets since 2001 (formerly known as Ostelektra GmbH). The trading house spans the wide spectrum of commodity trading in power, gas, coal, oil, emission allowances and is active in energy equipment and project business. The company became known as an established and trusted performer in Central, Eastern and Western European as well as Central Asian energy markets.

Business Areas

Energy Commodity Trading

S4E Group was an active wholesale electricity and gas trader on liberalised and non-liberalised markets. Its focus was cross-border energy trading between Germany, South-Eastern, Central and Eastern European countries. Later S4E established a new major European energy trading house: advanced energy trading GmbH that was an active trading member of commodity trading markets for power, gas, coal, oil and CO2 in Central, Eastern as well as Western European markets. Today, it still engages in power and gas origination in selected countries.

Energy Equipment Business

Since 2008 S4E Group via its subsidiaries advanced energy trading GmbH and Ostelektra Equipment GmbH performs sustainable competitive trading and supply of equipment for the energy sector, particularly for power generation, power transmission and distribution. In cooperation with other partners, EPC activities are carried out. S4E Group successfully cooperates with leading equipment producers such as leading brands like Siemens and others.

Energy Project Business

S4E Group explores investment opportunities in the energy field in Central and Eastern Europe, CIS countries and Central Asia. Such activities comprise investing into expanding cross-border power capacity, power generation for electricity export into European Union and renewable energy projects.
